Year 4 of VGAD begins Wednesday, September 4th!

That’s right, VGAD is about ready to graduate.

Okay, that might not be totally accurate. We’ve still got a long ways to go before we’ve perfected this nonsense, but in the meantime, we’ve had a lot of fun over the summer building VGAD up to be the best student group for aspiring game designers that could ever be.

Wednesday at 6:00 pm is our new Meeting Day!

In a whirlwind of on-the-spot decision making, we decided to set the weekly meeting day to Wednesdays at 6:00 pm for the Fall 2013 semester.

The room is still Computing Science Centre (CSC) 3-23, aka the Arduino Lab.

A Wild Election Appears

VGAD also officially opened up three new executive positions as part of its 2013-2014 Club Constitution. Those positions are:

  1. Vice President
  2. Internal
  3. Social

We also held a by-election and the following positions changed:

  1. Vice President – Blake Bouchard
  2. Treasurer – Elliot Colp
  3. Internal – Allison Querengesser

The position of President was retained by the incumbent, Matthew Allan Clarke. Nobody was nominated for the position of Social, so the position will remain vacant. Blake Bouchard will take on the duties of Social until such a time as the position is filled. For more information, contact vgad@ualberta.ca.

Clubs Fair 2013

VGAD will be manning a table at Clubs Fair 2013 on Monday September 2nd from 12:00 pm to 4:30 pm, and on Tuesday September 3rd from 1:30 pm to 5:00 pm.

We’ll be in the Butterdome Pavilion, so if you’re in the vicinity on those days, come say hi!
